To create a variable rate application map, start on the field's dashboard and select agro operations on the left. Variable rate application maps can be created field by field, or in batches.
Select Variable rate application (VRA) across the top.
To create a new VRA task select Add new task (1). To edit or download an existing task, open the task by selecting the task (2). You can create task manually (3) from maps in CWO, or you can import a task from file (3) from a third party.
Required rows have a * next to the title. In this example, we will make a on/off (2 zone) map for a CP product application. For specific questions regarding other types of variable rate applications, please reach out to support. Contact information listed below.
You have the option to link this VRA task to a specific product, agro operation, Crop, and variety. The VRA model will remain average for this example. Hit next to continue.
First, choose your data source. Since we are creating an on/off map, we will use the most recent vegetation image to create our zone map. Select Vegetation from the data source options (1). Scroll through the images to select the most recent cloud-free image (2). Select Next (3) to continue.
Enter your grid size (1); this will be the width of your sprayer or the width of sections of nozzles on your sprayer. This will represent the size of areas that can be varied. Auto zones (2) will be set to 2 for this example. Enter the rates of each zone on your map (3 & 4). Click the pencil (5) to manually edit any zones on the map. Select the color you would like to add, and zoom to select the zone you would like to change. Scroll down to hit Save to complete.
Select the download icon shown below to download this VRA task.
These are the file types available for download. Please consult your equipment manufacturer for the correct file type required by your sprayer.
