To change and edit the shape of existing fields in Cropwise Operations, navigate to that field's dashboard. Select Area & shapes from the left side of the dashboard.
There are two options when changing or editing a boundary:
Option A- You want to change the boundary of the field for all future operations on that field, or operations after a certain date. For example, maybe you did some field work and now a previously treed area will be available for cropping. You would like the shape to remain the same for past operations on that field but you want the shape to updated going forward.
If this is the case, you can Add a new shape (4).
From here you can choose to upload a new shape file of that field. The other option is to draw a New shape based on current shape.
When drawing a New shape based on current shape you can click on the blue shape, then select and drag the orange dots around the current shape edit the field boundary. Enter the Start time to indicate when this shape started to be used. See Boundary Creation for more on drawing boundaries. Select Create field shape record to complete.
Option B- You want to change that field's shape for previous operations on that field, and all operations going forward. You can see the dates showing when each shape became active, the default being December 31, 1999 (1). This meaning, all operations from December 31, 1999 to the present will correspond to this shape. To edit the shape for all previous operations select the gear (3).
Select Edit.
When editing the shape you can click on the blue shape, then select and drag the orange dots around the current shape edit the field boundary. See Boundary Creation for more on drawing boundaries. Select Update field shape record to complete.
