Editing Fields
To edit a field, begin by logging into Cropwise Imagery. If you have access to more than one Cropwise Workspace or Organization, choose the appropriate Workspace and/or Organization in My Cropwise to show the desired Organization.
Once the Organization's Farm List is displayed, select the Farm containing the field(s) to edit.
Within the Map View, 1) select the Gear Icon and 2) click Fields.
Note: This will open in a new browser tab.
To edit a field, select the Edit button for the desired field.
The field will now be editable so that any field name and/or boundary edits can be completed. Once edits have been completed, select Save.
Creating New Fields
To create a new field, begin by logging into Cropwise Imagery. If you have access to more than one Cropwise Workspace or Organization, choose the appropriate Workspace and/or Organization in My Cropwise to show the desired Organization.
Once the Organization's Farm List is displayed, select the Farm to add fields within.
Within the Map View, 1) select the Gear Icon and 2) click Quickly add fields.
A field can be created within Cropwise Imagery in two different ways. The processes to add fields include Import and Draw or detect options. The option to Insert Size should be avoided.
Import Files
Follow this process to upload a boundary file for a new field or fields.
Select within the Click or drag file to this area to upload button.
Search for and select the desired shapefiles and then select Open.
Note: Shapefiles have individual .shp, .shx and .dbf files that need to be within the same zipped folder.
The File Attributes menu provides the ability to set the field name for boundaries that are being imported. The desired choice will be an attribute that contains anything similar to Name or Field Name. After selecting the appropriate file attribute select Next to continue in the process.
The fields will now display within the map and are available for any necessary edits. Complete the upload process by selecting Save.
Draw or Detect Fields
Drawing Tools
To draw a new field boundary, start by making sure that the desired Drawing tool, Polygon or Circle, is activated and blue.
To draw a Polygon, click along the border of the field to identify boundary points. Select the first boundary point, or double-click, to close the shape. Adjust the Field name as needed and then select the Green Checkmark. Repeat this process for any additional fields. Once all fields are added, select Save.
To draw a Circle, click the center point of the field and drag the circle to the desired size. Adjust the Field name as needed and then select the Green Checkmark. Repeat this process for any additional fields. Once all fields are added, select Save.
Field Detection
To use Field Detection, activate Auto-detect fields. Select a boundary or boundaries. Adjust the Field name as needed and then select the Green Checkmark. Repeat this process for any additional fields. Once all fields are added, select Save.
Any newly created fields will then be available within Cropwise Imagery. The satellite imagery will begin processing, with the most recent images becoming available within approximately 30 minutes.
