Through Cropwise Imagery Mobile, plant health images can be viewed and analyzed while on-the-go. The analysis of satellite imagery within Cropwise Imagery Mobile begins with the Map View, where selected images can be displayed and analyzed.
The list of available images can be viewed in a scroll bar at the bottom of the screen. Select more options to filter the available image selection.
Next, select from the list of available images or select the filter to adjust the list of available images.
Images can be filtered by Date range, Cloud presence, and Image source. Once filter selections are made, select Done to apply the selected filters.
Cropwise Imagery defaults to Sentinel, 10-meter resolution images which are available for selection every 3 to 5 days on average. Each available image will display one of three cloud presence icons:
Sunny: 0-33% cloud presence
Partially cloudy: 33%-66% cloud presence
Cloudy: 66%-100% cloud presence
The vegetation index being used to view the selected image can be changed by selecting the Toggle-Switch in the top-center of the screen, or within the Map Options menu.
Cropwise Imagery uses the NDVI (Red) vegetation index to visualize plant health across all crop growth stage and agronomic scenarios, but also utilizes Visual view to display the images as the human eye would see them.

The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (Red) (NDVI (Red)) is the most common index used to measure plant health. The amount of light that is absorbed by the plant is measured from -1 to +1. Non-vegetative objects like roads are calculated in the -1 to 0 range while vegetation is seen in the 0 to +1 range, with 0 being unhealthy and +1 being very healthy. |
| Visual | Visual, also known as RGB, is what we would see as humans looking down from space. You can use this view when you want to check for clouds or other atmospheric anomalies on your images. |
Additional map tools to use when viewing images include:
Center map to the entire selected property.
Center map to device GPS location.
